Be Still and know that you're not God.
I was in the garden one day, feeling out of control of my life, and I looked down and saw this little vignette. It's a twist on scripture, but the words "Be still and know that you're not God" flashed in my mind. I snapped a picture and made greeting cards out of this so I would never forget that moment. I still use these words to calm my spirit.

This is a collage I started a few years ago. Another project I never finished! The background is acrylics on 140 lb. watercolor paper. I used pressed leaves and flowers to create some motion. When you stare at the original for a while, your eyes adjust and it feels like you're in a misty forest... it's a really weird effect.

Believe
Deep down I believe we are all put on this planet for a purpose - a higher purpose. And I believe that this creative pulse within us is God's creative pulse itself. So let's create together, let's share the magic with others. Let us not judge ourselves, but instead let us be willing to expose our most vulnerable, creative parts of ourselves so we can set each other free. Let us Believe that we can Soar Like Eagles.
